Our guidelines have been developed to help us foster a respectful, safe, inclusive and supportive community.

Fostering a positive community

Sometimes things don’t run smoothly and we understand it can be frustrating. We are committed to reaching a solution quickly and to continuously improve our service.

We ask and expect everyone in our community to follow these guidelines, including employees, patients, prospective patients, suppliers and pharmacies.

  • Mutual Respect: We encourage open discussion and are here to listen. Communication should remain respectful. We do not tolerate threatening behaviour, personal attacks, or language that is malicious, abusive, offensive or misleading.
  • Inclusivity: We are an inclusive community and respect each other's differences. Racism, sexism or any other discrimination or prejudiced behaviour is not tolerated.
  • Anti-bullying: We expect our community to refrain from trolling, bullying, humiliation and intimidation.
  • Ethical: We are all responsible for abiding by the law. Any illegal activity will not be tolerated including fraudulent behaviour, defamation, sharing explicit material and falsifying information.

We will take action when our Community Guidelines are violated and removal from our community and platform may ensue. Thank you for helping keep our community a positive space.

Alternaleaf’s social media guidelines

We've created a few simple guidelines to keep Alternaleaf’s social media spaces safe, positive, and supportive for everyone. These apply to anyone interacting with our social platforms, whether you're commenting, posting, tagging, messaging, or contributing.

When we’re online

We’re available during business hours, 9am to 5pm (AEST), Monday to Friday. While we aim to respond within three business days, responses may take longer during busy periods.

What we expect

We encourage open discussion, but to keep things positive and safe, we reserve the right to remove any content that doesn’t follow these guidelines.

Content that may be removed includes comments, images, videos, gifs, links, or any other contributions that:

  • Are Abusive or offensive: We won’t tolerate harassment, bullying, provoking others, or using offensive language.
  • Spread misinformation: We’ll remove any false, misleading, or unfounded information to keep the community accurate.
  • Contain promotional content: We don’t allow ads, product endorsements, or requests for donations.
  • Are spam or harmful: We’ll block duplicate, off-topic, or irrelevant content, including suspicious links.
  • Share personal details: We’ll delete posts that include private information like email addresses, phone numbers, or medical details.
  • Offer medical advice: We don’t allow comments that offer or seek medical advice.
  • Violate legal and regulatory requirements: We’ll remove any content that may create legal risks or break laws.
  • Make unqualified statements: We discourage unsupported claims about Alternaleaf, our services, products, or other healthcare providers.

Account blocking

Repeated or serious breaches of these guidelines may result in your account being blocked from our pages.

Stay on topic

We appreciate your input and ask that comments stay on topic to encourage meaningful discussion.
